Introduction

In Traede we use the concept of country settings. Some settings you want to define on a country level instead of the individual customer. An example of this would be the currency of the customer, VAT rate or even payment terms. Traede offers 3 levels of settings.

  • Global
  • Country settings
  • Customer
note

NOTE: Not all settings exists on all 3 levels

For instance payment terms exists in all 3 levels. Whenever an order is made Traede will first check the customer to see if a specific payment term is defined for that customer. If not, we will look at the country settings of said customer's country. If no payment term is defined there either then lastly we look at the global settings.

Other properties, like currency and VAT rate, only exist on the country settings level and customer level. This means that you cannot define a global fallback for these.
